Launching the Taku, Mid-June, 2008, Pederson Point

This picture was taken a few seconds after the June 17th picture of the day. It gives you a bit of an idea how these large drift boats are launched by trailer. Note how deep in the water the equipment has to go, exposing it to the rigors of salt water. Pederson Point, and most of the processing plants in the area, have to have a large maintenance staff to keep all the equipment running.
