Subsistence Nets, Early June, 2008 Naknek Beach near City Dock
One would have to wonder why, with only two nets in the water, they would have to be so close together. The state of Alaska allows residents to fish with nets up to 60 feet long for their own personal use. Up to 50 sockeye salmon are allowed per permit. There is no fee for these permits.
