Early June, 2008, Naknek Beach Near Pederson Point
Extremely low tides only occur for a couple of days every month, usually in the early to mid evening. Setnetters take advantage of these times to check the anchors and to attach buoys. Then they will be able to put the rest of the necessary gear out when tide conditions would make this impossible.
The vehicle and people in this photo are almost a quarter of a mile from where the water will be at high tide. There will be over 20' of water on the area where you see the people when that happens.
