Ejection Seat, Anyone?

The "Thrills Unlimited Ejection Seat" at the Alaska State Fair in Palmer, AK, is probably the most popular ride there (for spectators, anyway). This reverse-bungee ride launches its passengers over 100 feet straight up into the skies and then allows them to drop. Then they bounce upward again. It's like a giant rubber band.

From almost any spot one can look up over the booths at the sky and see this ride in operation, and often hear the screams coming from the riders.
