| Fish Elevator in Action, July 1978 |
| This shows the unloading of the Bear at Bumble Bee Cannery, on July 4th, 1978. This is how fish are moved into the cannery from the tenders. The beach gang wore hard hats because every now and then a fish would fall off the elevator. Even a six-pound salmon is painful (or injurious) if it hits you in the head from a significant height. |
