| Looking up the Egegik River from Church Point. The big cannery is Diamond E and the smaller structure was a small, private operation. It's probabably the owner's boat, the Moonraker closest to the camera on the left. |
| The white vessel anchored up the river from Diamond E is the old Puget Sound freight boat Belana. This boat was, according to one source, 105 feet long.Since they stopped moving freight via water, with vessels of this type, some time in the late 60's or early 70's, Nelbro bought this vessel and brought it to Egegik to house their fisherman. Nelbro had no shore facilities in Egegik. There is a tender tied up to the Balena, possibly the Sally N. |
