Grading by Hand

This photo was taken between 1920-25. They are doing the excavation for what will be the Nornek or Peter Pan plant in Naknek, by hand. The location looks like where the original cannery and warehouse were eventually built. It is interesting to compare it to the Nancy Stonington print, Peter Pan, that is popular in the Bristol Bay area.
