Both of these mountains border Becharof Lake. Becharof Lake, at 37 miles long and 15 miles wide, is the second largest lake in Alaska. Mt. Peulik (pronouced pyoo-lik), on the right, is about 62 miles southeast of South Naknek and is 4,835 feet high, rising from near sea level.
