The Alaska Queen
The Alaska Queen arrived in Naknek in about 1946. It, along with the surplus landing barges Deneb, Polaris, and Sandy, constituted their fleet. Herman Sandvik of Naknek was a large shareholder of this operation. They originally must have planned on salting a lot of salmon judging from the stacks of tierces stored aboard. This operation was later sold to Bendickson and became Queen Fisheries.
They appear to be waiting for the tide to come in to tie up to the Naknek Packing dock.
