| Scow on the Cutbank |
| This was taken in 1949. 3320 (later named the Hornet) was taking diesel fuel to Diamond J from Standard Oil in Naknek. Herman Herrmann was captain. They missed the turn at the cutbank light and ran aground at high tide. The Fajen came alongside a day or two later to offload about 15,000 gallons of the diesel oil and gave a tow at high tide to pull it off. No damage, just delayed! |
