A Farewell Look at This Year's Autumn Tundra

This is not be the way the tundra around Bristol Bay looks now, in November. The photo was taken in mid-September. Autumn in Naknek is short but with a beauty unique unto itself. The photographer states, "What a difference a couple of weeks makes -- from the lush greens, to having a touch of brown, to this coloring we see here in the evening light."
