Up, Up and Away in the RV-4
This plane, built by Fred Anderson of Pederson Point, Naknek, was also featured on this website in the picture on August 11, 2004.
RV, in this case does not stand for "recreational vehicle." It comes from the initials of the designer of this line of homebuilt planes, Richard VanGrunsven. The line is called Van's Aircraft. The RV-4 model features tandem seating and can hold two people and their baggage.
