| Sail Boats in Tow | ||
| This photo was taken in 1949. The sailboats are in tow of the Porpoise, a power barge which LMc&L (Libbyville and Graveyard) owned. Porpoise was run by Earl Aspelund at that time. He later operated the Marmot and Sunnyvale. The power barges would tow anywhere from 10 to 30 boats out to the fishing grounds, and back again if need be (no wind). | ||
