Building Cabins in the Bonanza Hills Area

The people in the photo, left to right, are William (Billy) Hill, Pete Trefon, Martin (Poyken) Johnson, Ben Trefon, and Wassillie Trefon. The photo was taken about 70 years ago, (sometime in the mid-1930s), probably on the Mulchatna River in the Bonanza Hills area. William Hill and crew were building cabins in anticipation of gold prospecting in later years.
