Monsen's Dog Team, Returning Home, Naknek, AK

This photo was probably taken in the spring of 1947. This trip was taken to a spot about five miles south of King Salmon, to retrieve a moose recently shot by a hunter. It was approximately 20 miles each way. The sled had broken through the overflow ice (Naknek River) on the way back with load of meat.
