Naknek to Levelock Winter Trail

Much of the trail is marked with a tripod such as you see on the left-hand side of the picture. This picture was taken about 10 miles north of Naknek.

The winter trail opens the possibility for travel by snow machines and 4-wheelers. During the summer, the only way to get between these two villages, like many others, is by boat and air.
