The Buddy and The Teddy II at Pederson Point, About 1969

We have information that these two power scows were named after a man named Haakon Friele's sons. If someone knows more about that, please drop a note on the forum or let us know.

The boat seen on the dock above the Buddy's exhaust pipe is a Nakeen Boat. They seemed to have a distinctive cabin and, as previously mentioned, were a bit larger than a conversion.

Buddy and Teddy II were acquired when NEFCO (New England Fish Company) bought Nakat Packing. It's probable that the Buddy was based at Nakeen. Possibly the Teddy II might have been as well.
