This boat was one of the top boats during the in-river fishery time last summer. It awaits another season. (Refer back to July 7 and 8 to see it in action.)

"In-river fishery" refers to the process by which Alaska Department of Fish & Game moves the commercial harvest into the Naknek River, rather than in the Bay. This is supposed to protect the migrating stocks that are headed up the Kvichak River for Iliamna Lake and beyond.
