GroundTruth Trekking, Naknek River, South Side

The man and woman in this photo are Hig and Erin, of GroundTruthTrekking. The river is the Naknek River, with Sugarloaf Mountain on the far eastern horizon. They are walking from Seattle to False Pass. Actually, they are not just walking but skiing and they have little pack rafts too. They are using NO motorized transportation at all.

The photo above was taken on the 16th of April. They've seen some amazing things along the way. Also, check out their YouTube site. Especially, scroll down and watch the entry entitled "We're Not Food" which shows their close encounter with a brown bear. Yikes!
