Brooks Falls - But No Bears Yet

These falls will soon be populated by bears, fishing for salmon ... and people taking their photos. See July 31, 2005 for example.

This photo was snapped during the annual 6th grade trip to Katmai National Park and Preserve, Brooks Camp. Every year the Brooks Camp trip is the one of the culminating activities of Bristol Bay Borough Schools' 6th graders. The US Park Service presents a "bear school" to visitors to educate them on how to coexist with the bears while in the Park.
