End of an Era, June 16, 2001

This photo was taken on June 16, 2001, looking across the Naknek River, from the Leader Creek area. It seems hard to believe it has been over four years ago. PAF Cannery, Warren Camp, burned that night. This fireball occurred at exactly 4:13 AM, according to the time stamp on the camera. The fire had already been burning for some time. The fire and rescue people did a valiant job and nobody was seriously injured.
