Artesian Well at Libbyville

No, it is not some strange creature, rising from the water. It is an old artisian well, inside the dock at the Libbyville Cannery. The water is drinkable but tastes strongly of sulfur. Does anyone who is viewing this know the history of this well? Please let us know and we'll share it.
