| Alaska Department of Fish and Game announced, "With increasing indices in the Naknek Section a set gillnet opening is warranted. The Naknek River Special Harvest Area (NRSHA) will open for a 6.0-hour period to set gillnet gear only from 12:30 p.m. until 6:30 p.m. Sunday, June 25, 2006." And with that, the season began for these setnetters. |
