Last Trip Home

These sockeye are fighting to get up Brooks Falls so that they can spawn (lay eggs). They are traveling to the exact place where they were once hatched. They've been known to travel up rivers for over a thousand miles and jump water falls such as this. After they spawn, they will die within a short time.
