| Fishing for Salmon at Brooks Falls |
| Katmai National Park and Preserve has the largest population (about 2,000) of protected brown bears in the world. During the salmon run, each July, many of these bears congregate at Brooks Falls in Katmai, to fish for, and enjoy, the world's best sockeye salmon. |
