Ice Crystals on the Naknek River
These crystals formed from overflow on top the shore ice. Sometimes there is up to four foot of water on top of the ice at high tide. This water starts to freeze, then the water drains out with the ebbing tide, leaving interesting works of art behind. This photo is from the Savonoski crossing area.
