Rough Road

The winter crossing of the Naknek River will be pretty rough this year, even with all the hard labor that has gone into the job to make it passable. This ritual has been going on every winter for many decades, ever since motor vehicles have become commonplace in the area. The exception being those very few years when the river didn't freeze over.
