Naknek River Crossing from the Savanoski Side

The river froze very rough this year. It appears that much work will be needed before vehicles will be able to cross. People use axes and other chopping tools to make it passable. Plans were to check the depth of the ice today with an ice auger. Most of the work is done by the people of South Naknek. Occasionally a few people will start chopping from the north side too.
