Eruption on January 18, 2007, Naknek River

This photo shows quite an eruption taking place on January 18. It is possibly either Mt. Mageik or Mt. Martin, either of which are over fifty miles away from where the photographer stands. Both volcanoes are at the edge of the Valley of Ten Thousand Smokes, and two of several of Katmai National Park's active volcanoes. See Volcanoes of Katmai .
