6:30 AM on Six Mile Lake at Nondalton, Early June
The plane is a De Havilland Beaver. It is one of three that took off every morning, from the lodge at Nondalton. The Beaver was developed in Canada. It's considered to be the perfect bush plane because of dependability and versatility with a variety of types of landing gear. It was first produced in the 1940s.
