Naknek River Winter Shoreline

This was taken from the north side of the Naknek River, at the Savonoski crossing. The river has since frozen all the way across. However, travelers will have many challenges, due to the unusually rough shore ice. The largest tide of the year, coupled with a strong onshore wind, on Thanksgiving Day, caused this.
