Lenticular Clouds
This type of cloud consists of several lens-shaped clouds that form at high altitudes, normally at right-angles to the wind direction. This type of cloud often stacks up like saucers or discs. They are sometimes called "flying saucer clouds." This photo was taken a few minutes after yesterday's photo but with the sun illuminating the clouds from a different angle.
