Chunk of Removed Ice
This shows an example of the thickness of the ice removed to make the hole in the ice surface of the lake for the Penguin Dip dives. (See preceding two days for more information.) The hole often begins to freeze over during the event and the forming ice must be skimmed off the top to keep the hole open.
