Another Plane Taking a Boat Ride

This picture was taken about 1970, just southwest of Nelson Lagoon. The plane had a forced landing in a swamp area and sustained little damage. Several men dragged the plane about a quarter mile to a lake and loaded it onto two skiffs. It had to be moved a couple of times, and some distance, until ideal conditions for flying were found.

The pilot, who shared this photo with us, stated that, "As usual, the school teacher was saved with the help of the local folks."
