Barge Leaving Naknek

To continue a theme on this web, from January 17th, this shows how all those pallets of canned salmon get out of the cannery and on their way to market. The year was 1979 and this tug and barge were on the way out, somewhere near Bumble Bee. The skill of those tug skippers to maneuver these monster barges in and out of the river with all those fish boats running around is truly remarkable.
