Coming Home

This photo is a video still, showing an agent for Fish and Wildlife Service releasing an eagle. This bird had just been returned to Bristol Bay after receiving medical treatment.

The bird had been caught, accidentally, in a trap and was unable to fly. It was turned over to the Fish and Wildlife agent by the responsible trapper. Fish and Wildlife sent the eagle to the Bird Treatment and Learning Center, ( Bird TLC ) in Anchorage.

This story has a GREAT ending ... last summer, after the release seen in the photo above, it found its mate and successfully raised one chick!
