Seed Crystal

This is another very popular photo posted in 2001. It's a closeup of ice crystals, taken by Bruce D. Anderson. It's hard to imagine that each of our frozen lakes is covered with these little miracles! They are caused by fog drifting across any obstruction and freezing into these forms.
