From the Drill Rig at Oooguruk

This was taken from the drill rig looking south toward Prudhoe Bay. The island where the drill rig is located is six miles from the coast. This picture was taken on December 1, 2007. Since this is some distance north of the Arctic Circle, they last saw the sun about November 18, and won't see it again until around January 23. We are using the dates published for Pt. Barrow, which should be within a day or two of Prudhoe Bay.
