Christmons Tree
For centuries symbols have been used to depict the life of Christ. One way to get away from so much commercialization of the season has been by use of "Christmons" to decorate the trees. Christmon combine the words “Christ” and “monogram," in other words, symbols of Christ. The Christmon ornaments, often homemade, traditionally are white (purity) and gold (majesty). This tree is in a local church in Wasilla, Alaska.
