Taking a Sun Nap

This photo, like all the other bear photos on this site, is taken with a zoom lens. It is extremely foolish (and dangerous) to get too close to bears. This bear is enjoying a nap in the sun at Brooks Camp, Katmai National Park. From a distance, he camouflages well with the sand and the driftwood, looking like a large boulder.
