Wasilla Moose Stripping Bark From Tree

This young cow moose is showing signs of starvation, by resorting to eating bark from the trees. (See tree on her left.) Soon the new shoots will solve her hunger, at least until next winter. Most people won't tolerate hunting in urban areas such as this, so the moose have overpopulated this area. The only natural predators around seem to be motor vehicles.
