Snow Machine on Johnston Hill

This shows better than average snow conditions for travel by snow machine along the coast. Conditions are often much better at a little higher elevations, back toward the mountains, but good traveling over the snow is not the norm for this area. This picture was taken last February about twenty miles south of the Naknek River.
