Libby's Koggiung (Graveyard) Cannery
This is what you would have seen if you landed at Graveyard Cannery in the mid-1950s. (See yesterday's photo for an aerial view.) The dwelling on the right might be the superintendent's residence. Note the large mast that supported a radio antenna. One thing that used to stand out was those three tower poles sticking up. They were still there in the 1970s as silent reminders from times past. By 1984 the center one had rotten off about half way up. They are probably completely gone now.
