| Tundra Swans (Cygnus columbianus) Return |
| Tundra swans winter in the "Lower 48." Many return to Alaska in the spring, to nest and raise their young. They are majestic in appearance as they glide through the water. They have a wingspan of about 7 feet. Although it is nearly the end of April, there is a lot of ice along the edge of the lake. |
