| Refer back to April 7's photo for a longer shot of this area. The cliffs are white, not because of snow, but because they consist of volcanic ash from the Novarupta eruption of 1912. These cliffs are nearly 100 feet in height. The Ukak River flows through here and into the Iliak Arm of Naknek Lake.
