| The Old Winter Trail, Naknek to King Salmon | ||
| This winter trail was heavily used from the time the Naknek Army Air Base was built early in WWII until the Alaska Peninsula Road was finished in 1950. The intervening 60 years has nearly healed over the trail, but remnants of it will be visible for many more decades. This section is near Paul's Creek on the Naknek side. There is still a winter trail in use between Savanoski Crossing and South Naknek. | ||
